Travis Johnson

Travis Johnson is one of the founders of Residential Funding Consultants. He got his start in the mortgage industry in 2003 working for HomeBanc, known at the time for having the best training program in the country for mortgage loan originators. Travis quickly saw that banks are limited in their ability to help clients due to their conservative nature. This led him to the wholesale broker side of the industry. As a broker, he works with 40 + lenders at any given time to ensure he has access to the right product to meet every clients need.

Travis embraces the quote “If you love your job, you never work a day in your life”. He truly loves his work, and it shows. His clients regularly say that Travis makes them feel like family. His colleagues describe him as the “guideline GURU” due to his extensive knowledge of loan guidelines and his ability to creatively match clients to the best program to meet their needs.

Travis received his bachelor’s degree in International Business and Spanish from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama where he played on a tennis scholarship for 4 years.

Originally from Green Bay, WI (GO Pack GO!), Travis mostly grew up in Marietta, GA where he attended Walton High School. Travis, his wife Chrissy, and their three children reside in East Cobb.
